There are several things that you need to avoid when going for your first dates. Some of them if you did, would cost you any chance of having a relationship with that person. If you want to continue seeing this person, here are a few things you should avoid doing at all costs. In fact, you should do what ever it takes not to commit this great first dating mistakes. The mobile phone is great, but when going out for a first date, you are better of not carrying it with you. If you must carry it, switch it off. Unless you are some doctor whose patient is in an emergency room and you need to updated on their progress every now and then. And even so, you should have been cautious enough not to have fixed a date in the middle of something as important as your patient having a major surgery.

Never ever arrive late for a date when you are dating. In fact do not even think about it. If you are one of those people who arrives late for a date to make an impression that you were not anxious to meet up with them, you are making a great mistake. You should never arrive late for a date, impression or not. Your first date with a person says a lot about you. People have been known to form an impression of someone in the first few minutes of contact. Keep time. Arrive there at the time you agreed on. Do not keep them waiting. You might find them already pissed off and have formed a bad opinion of you. You might never get a second chance and what if that person was the one for you?

On your first do not get drunk. Stay off beer or wine if possible. You would love to drink to make the two of you be at ease with each other. There is something about beer that gives even the most shy of us all the courage to speak out when dating. This shy people with no alcoholic drink in their system would be quiet and seem not to have an opinion. Whatever you do, do not get drunk in your first date. If you can not stay away from an alcoholic drink, make sure you give an order in the restaurant you go to that no matter how hard you order for an alcoholic drink they should not bring it to your table.

You would like to talk about your Ex and give all the gross details of why you left them, don’t. At what ever cost avoid talking about your Ex. Unless the person asks you about them, do not even mention them if you want your dating life to be good. If you are to tell them about your Ex because they asked, do not sound like you were kicked in the balls and you are in pain. Say it like you are over that relationship. It will even make you score points in this new relationship you are trying to establish. Avoid the ‘Ex’ conversation at all cost.
